About Sheree Carbery:

Sheree Carbery spent 13 years in the corporate world before embarking on a career as an international flight attendant.  During this time she spent 15 months working in private aviation in Saudi Arabia, where she had more money than she’d ever imagined, a life of fun, excitement and high society living - yet she still felt something was missing from her life. It was at this time that she came across life coaching and began her most rewarding journey of all - self discovery.

Sheree has qualifications in counselling, coaching, journey therapy, energy healing, dance therapy, nutrition and personal training. She is passionate about supporting others on their own path to self realisation and her unique 12-week programme provides clients with tools to empower them to nurture and honour themselves at all levels.

Sheree is based in the Coromandel where she lives with her 4 year old son Braydon and is about to embark on the next phase of her journey, writing a book  - She also travels to the city on a monthly basis to support her Auckland based clientele.

Sheree runs regular workshops and retreats designed to support women in healing and personal growth with an emphasis on the sacred feminine. Her gentle yet powerful way of working brings out a depth and experience for her clients that could otherwise be locked away forever.

“My journey has only just begun and every day I am grateful for the life I live, and that I am blessed with a gift that I can now pass on to others. I look forward to sharing this with you,”  says Sheree.

Sheree writes on flokkaBiz about ‘authentic women in business’ - how to become more of who you are in business without losing your sense of self.

About Minka Bodde-Phillips - Mothers Online

minka

Minka Bodde-Phillips graduated from Auckland University in 1995 with a Law Degree, to which she now wishes she had added Business Management or Commerce!   After 6 years practicing as a Litigation Solicitor, Minka embarked on her biggest career move ever and became a Mother.  Following the birth of Harrison in 2001 and an inability to achieve satisfactory work/life balance as a part time Solicitor, Minka has held various roles in the education and business sectors, while becoming Mama to Molly in 2003, Ashe in 2005 and Max in late 2006.

Following the birth of her 3rd child in 2005, Minka saw the opportunity for Mothers embarking on the same journey she had, to find community and empowerment online.  With the change in societal roles - more and more woman being career oriented and returning to work - there was less of the “village” required to “raise a child”.  Mothers Online,  New Zealand’s first social networking site exclusively for Mothers was conceived.  Minka believed and still believes there is enormous information and social networking available online for new mothers and mothers in all roles we share.

Now, 3 years on from its launch, Mothers Online  is undergoing radical change with a new business structure, new services, a new team and most importantly a new site. Amidst the chaos,  Minka freely admits the first 3 years of business and babies have been extremely challenging and she takes huge learnings in business forward into Mothers Online’s future.  Her business and personal goals however, remain unchanged - to partner, empower and entertain modern mothers while working from home and raising her 4 children aged from 2 to 8 yrs.

“People are constantly asking me how I do it.  I figured if I wrote about it perhaps I could finally answer their questions while demonstrating for other Mums in business what works and what doesn’t,”  says Minka.

Minka writes here on flokkaBiz about her life as a mother juggling a business, 4 young children, a home and life in general.  She will share with you her own thoughts and learnings, but most importantly how to have fun amidst the fog.
